Benefits Advice
At Disability Advice Bradford, we offer the following benefits advice to disabled people, their families and carers, anyone with mental health problems and those who are sick and unable to work:
Benefit Claim Forms
We can help you to complete forms such as Disability Living Allowance (for both adults and children), Attendance Allowance, Carer’s Allowance and Employment and Support Allowance.
Benefit Appeals
If you are unsuccessful in a claim for benefit, we may be able to help you challenge that decision. This may be in the form of general information and advice or we may be able to represent you during the appeal process.
Benefit Checks
If you are unsure about your entitlement, we will be able to check what benefits you should be able to claim. We will be able to advise you on how to make a claim and how long it will take.
All Other Benefit Enquiries
We offer advice on such benefits as housing and council tax benefit, pension credit and tax credits. If you are looking to return to work, we will be able to tell you how your benefits will be affected and what difference this will make to your income.
In addition to providing this service from our offices at 103 Dockfield Road, Shipley, BD17 7AR, we operate several outreach services for benefits help:
If you would like benefit advice, please telephone us on between the hours of 9:30am and 12:30pm, Monday and Tuesday. Please note that a waiting list may operate for these services.
