Messing about on the river (canal!)
Over the last few years we have enjoyed quite a few trips along the canal at Skipton in a disabled access barge, relaxing, listening to music, chatting and having lunch. They have been amazing days out, people have really enjoyed them, something different to do that isn’t taxing or strenuous. The team at the SCAD (Skipton and Craven Action for Disability) are brilliant, so friendly and welcoming, as well as amazing at directing the boat and chatting to you about the canal and the boat. Some trips include a trip though the locks outside Skipton, which is an experience in itself while others navigate through the countryside around the area and due to the slow nature of the canal, you get to see so many interesting sites!
These trips have been so popular in fact, that we have booked a further three trips for this year. Please phone Joyce on for more information or to book your place. The dates are:
2nd April 2015 (Thursday)
26th May 2015 (Tuesday)
7th September 2015 (Monday)
